Training at the HP Centers in 2015 leads up to playing in the Young Women’s National Championship. Playing in the Young Women’s National Championship can lead to selection for Junior National Camp or a trial invite with the Women’s National Team.Young Women's National Championship Selections Announced
Congratulations to the following athletes who have been selected to participate in the Young Women's National Championship Tournament.
The Young Women's National Championship will be held June 22-26. A travel day is set for June 21. If you require a dorm for the night of the travel day please email me by Friday June 12 as I will have to alert the staff setting up the accommodations. You are responsible for your own travel to and from the center. The tournament is located at The Nook in Lancaster, PA. Please coordinate with each other as it will make traveling easier if you have some teammates to travel with.
Training Squad Announced
Congratulations to the following athletes who have been selected to the California Region High Performance Training Squad. There is a $195 fee for training that is due before the first training session (April 26). This fee includes all training sessions but does not include any of the fees associated with the Young Women’s National Championship. If born in 1993 or before you will allowed to train at the HP center provided you have the intention of trying out for the Women's National Team. Invitations to a January tryout can be earned through participation at the HP site. Please email Malachi Mahan if you have any questions.

Trial fee is $45.
Attendance to the trial is mandatory.
High Performance Trials are open to the following athletes
-Under 21 athletes who have graduated from high school and born in 1994 and after
-High school players currently on the under 21 squad
-Players chosen by Jannek Schopman from the U-19 squad
Players who do not meet the requirements to be selected for the Young Women’s National Championship are welcome to attend the trials so that they can be selected for the High Performance Training Squad. There is no Women’s National Championship as the National Team has been selected for Pan Ams already.

Young Women’s National Championship
Dates: June 23-26
Eight teams (144 athletes) will be selected to play in the YWNC at the Nook from June 23-26, 2015 and will be evenly distributed onto a team based on their regional rankings (16 field players and 2 GKs per team). After the completion of the tournament, players may be invited for a trial with the National Team, or may be selected to attend the Under 21 Junior National Camp from July 3-5 at the Nook. Final selections for the Junior World Cup team and the 2016 U21 squad will occur at the conclusion of Junior National Camp.
Only 20% of the tournament will be made up of athletes born in 1994 as they are not eligible for the Junior World Cup. These athletes will only be eligible for a trial to make the National Team.
