Coaching Field Hockey - Attacking Principles Workshop
USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce the “Attacking Principles Workshop”, a new Coach Education offering. This three-hour workshop will be held at Hofstra University on Sunday, March 8th from 9:00-12:00 pm. As the game of field hockey evolves, so do the skills required to play.
The Coach Educator for this workshop will be trained Coach Educator and Hofstra University Head Coach, Courtney Veinotte. The Attacking Principles Workshop is a three hour on-field practical session designed for coaches who are looking to further develop their teams attacking play. The workshop includes key technical and tactical elements that support player and team development. Participants will learn how to create game-based practice sessions that introduce, develop and transfer the attacking principles from the training ground to match day.
It’s also a great way to network and collaborate with fellow coaches. Coaches of all levels are welcome and will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Price will be $65 for members and $85 for non-members
Participants in the “Attacking Principles Workshop” will receive a certificate of participation that stays current as long as your Coach Membership remains active. This is the first of USA Field Hockey’s new “Workshop Series,” which will become part of the Coach Education Pathway. USA Field Hockey is committed to providing coaches with ongoing quality Coach Education that is accessible, affordable and that includes best practices to deliver a player-centered and positive development experience.
